For some time now, there’s been massive buzz around a “mystery guest vocalist” appearing on the new Foo Fighters album Concrete and Gold, and it appears the cat is finally out of the bag.

Dave Grohl graces the cover of the latest issue of Rolling Stone, and in the cover story, the frontman mentions that Justin Timberlake stopped by the recording studio, gave the Foos’ new music a listen, and the next thing you know, a bromance flourished.

Grohl said, “We’d drink whiskey in the parking lot.  He was really, really cool.  Then the night before his last day, he says, ‘Can I sing on your record? I don’t want to push it, but – I just want to be able to tell my friends.’”

A quick session of background “la la la” vocals later, and JT got his wish and the bragging rights among his friends, because apparently a successful pop music career and a hot wife just weren’t enough.

Okay…so who had Justin Timberlake in the betting pool?  Well, done!
