Recap of Foo Fighters’ Lollapalooza Afterparty Set

It was a big night for the Foo Fighters on Friday (August 4) in Chicago, when the group played an epic three-and-a-half hour Lollapalooza afterparty show at the Metro, featuring 32 songs -- including five from its upcoming album Concrete And Gold -- and a guest appearance by Jane's Addiction frontman and Lollapalooza co-founder Perry Farrell for his group's "Mountain Song." 

At the start of the show Foos frontman Dave Grohl announced that, "Tonight we're gonna try and break our record for longest show ever, so I hope you brought comfortable shoes," and he and the band made good on that, adding a selection of other covers -- Queen and David Bowie's "Under Pressure," the Faces' "Stay With Me," Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers' "Breakdown" and AC/DC's "Let There Be Rock" to the mix.

Concrete And Gold comes out September 15, and the Foos' North American tour kicks off October 7 at Cal Jam in San Bernardino, Calif.
