Judas Priest will be replacing Ozzy Osbourne at the upcoming Power Trip event taking place this Fall in California.

Billboard reports Priest's involvement with Power Trip just one day after Osbourne suddenly dropped out of the event.

Yesterday (July 10), The Prince of Darkness shared a lengthy statement saying, in part, "Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I’m just not ready yet and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-assed."

While he didn't name Priest as his replacement, Osbourne noted, "The band that will be replacing me on Power Trip will be announced shortly. They are personal friends of mine and I can promise that you will not be disappointed."

Power Trip is slated for October 6-8 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif. With Priest factored in, the lineup is as follows:

Friday, October 6
Guns N' Roses
Iron Maiden

Saturday, October 7
AC/DC
Judas Priest

Sunday, October 8
Metallica
Tool

Judas Priest is one of the greatest bands in heavy metal – it’s hard to imagine the genre without them, and arguably they’re the second most influential metal group after only Black Sabbath. So, we’re totally stoked that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is finally – FINALLY! - inducting them later this year (yeah, it’s the “Musical Excellence” award, but we’ll take it). And as Screaming For Vengeance is about to turn 40, and the band is celebrating its 50th anniversary, we thought that this would be a perfect time to rank the band’s 50 best songs.
