Red Hot Chili Peppers' Unlimited Love has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, according to Billboard. The album marks the Peppers' first with returning guitarist John Frusciante since 2006.

Unlimited Love has muscled out Machine Gun Kelly's Mainstream Sellout to take the top spot on the chart. That marks two successive No. 1 rock albums on the Billboard 200 this year, as MGK's set is listed as a rock album on the chart. Back-to-back rock albums in the number one slot hasn't happened since 2017, when The Killers' Wonderful Wonderful debuted at No. 1 following Foo Fighters' Concrete and Gold.

Unlimited Love dropped on April 1 and pushed 97,500 equivalent album units in the U.S. for the week ending April 7, according to Billboard.

"We (John, Anthony, Chad and Flea) spent thousands of hours, collectively and individually, honing our craft and showing up for one another to make the best album we could," the Peppers previously said regarding Unlimited Love in a statement.

They added, "Days, weeks and months spent listening to each other, composing, jamming freely, and arranging the fruit of those jams with great care and purpose. The sounds, rhythms, vibrations, words and melodies had us enrapt. We yearn to shine a light in the world, to uplift, connect and bring people together."
