Nickelback is getting an early Christmas present this year thanks to an unlikely source:  Deadpool.

For those that haven’t seen the trailer for Once Upon A Deadpool, the PG-13 version of Deadpool 2, it’s punctuated with a Nickelback joke relating to Deadpool’s relationship to the Marvel Universe.

“You’re Marvel licensed by Fox,” says former child star Fred Savage playing up his role in The Princess Bride.  “It’s like if the Beatles were produced by Nickelback.  It’s music, but it sucks.”

What the trailer didn’t include was Deadpool’s verbal undressing of Savage and his opinions on the Canadian rock band.  (Probably doesn’t hurt that Ryan Reynolds, who portrays Deadpool, is Canadian himself.)

Either way, it’s pretty damn funny, regardless of how you feel about Chad Kroeger and company.
