We’re seeing it on the news and on social media, it’s crunch time to prepare for Hurricane Idalia.

It’s been nearly a year since Hurricane Ian came roaring along the Florida Gulf Coast making a direct hit on us here in Southwest Florida.  Less than one month from today, on September 28, 2023, it will be one year since the worst storm to hit Fort Myers Beach made it’s mark.

While there is still so much rebuilding to be done, progress is being made.  While the threat of Idalia doesn’t seem to be too great to folks in Southwest Florida at the given moment, and we all know that can change, there is a major threat headed towards our neighbors to the north.

After last year, it seems Floridians are being more cautious and have a plan to prepare for Hurricane Idalia

With less than 24 hours before Idalia will make landfall, folks up and down the Florida Gulf coast are doing what they can to prepare for strong winds, rain and storm surge.

In the event of a power outage, it’s always good to have these power outage supplies on hand.  Follow along with the Hurricane Guide before, during and after the storm for all important phone numbers and detailed information, and prepare for Hurricane Idalia.
