The Florida man accused of manufacturing guns with a 3D printer is our Idiot Criminal Of The Day. That's never the title you want placed upon you.

In order to be named the Idiot Criminal Of The Day on Dave & Chuck The Freak you have to do something ridiculously dumb that stands out from all the other crime stories we talk about on the show that morning. This Florida man seems to fit that description. According to WFTV, 33-year-old Patrick Carman was arrested after he reported to police saying multiple guns were stolen from his home, accusing his girlfriend of stealing them. See a video report from WFTV Channel 9 on YouTube below.

You don't want to report that your illegal weapons were stolen. You're just admitting to breaking the law and you're going to end up getting in trouble. You're also going to end up the Idiot Criminal Of The Day on Dave & Chuck The Freak and neither of those are things that you want.

WFTV says Carman admitted to making the guns with a 3D printer and he called it a "fun project." That's not going to help his case. Carman remains in custody and has been charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition as a felon.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
