One of the greatest tennis photos ever was captured at the 2025 US Open. It could be one of the best sports photos in years!

When you think of iconic sports photos there are no shortage of options that could come to mind. Maybe it's Bobby Orr flying across the ice after scoring that goal, maybe it's Tom Brady lifting the Lombardi trophy, or Michael Jordan hitting a game winner. Everyone has their own favorite. However, photos like this don't come around often. It was captured at the perfect time that allowed the player's eyes to look right through the shape on her racket! It's incredible timing and now it's being hailed as one of the greatest tennis photos of all-time. I can't say they're wrong. It's hard to think of anything quite like this. Check out the viral picture taken by photographer Ray Giubilo below.

The picture, of tennis player Jasmine Paolini, is now being called one of the greatest not only tennis pictures of all-time but one of the greatest sports photos of all-time! Just look at how that picture is captioned. That's how people have been talking about this already iconic picture. The timing couldn't have been better and it was the perfect angle. It's really cool to see.

When you think of some of the greatest sports photos of all-time what are some other examples that come to mind? Again, there's Bobby Orr that comes to mind. Ali celebrating in the ring is another iconic photo. Michael Jordan has several. The play with Wade and LeBron James on the Miami Heat. Odell's iconic one-handed snag is another. I think this definitely makes the list.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
