Some old German ladies are going viral for making a competitive game out of returning shopping carts. Is this what it takes to get people to return their carts?

There's nothing more frustrating than circling a parking lot and then thinking you finally found a space only to realize there's a shopping cart blocking your spot. Ugh. People can be terrible about not returning their shopping carts even when it's so easy and there's a spot right next to them to do it. You don't even have to go far! Anyways, these German ladies might be onto something with making a new sport out of returning shopping carts. Big Cat, from Barstool Sports, shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) saying he wants to bet on it right now. He's not alone. I think that's what we're all thinking--and Jason might already be on it!

How cool is that? It would be a lot of fun to play, actually. It's never hard to find an available cart so I might have to give this a go the next time I go grocery shopping. Commenters seem excited about the idea of playing it or even watching content creators play it. It's going to happen and it could be big!

Seriously, though, return your shopping carts and don't leave them in the parking lot stranded on their own.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
