A tourist is going viral for taunting a bison at Yellowstone National Park. He's very lucky it decided not to charge at him

There are moments in the viral video where you can see the bison contemplating making a charge at the man but then decides that violence isn't the answer. The internet is saying that the man really had it coming and it sounds like some people think he probably deserved to get attacked to teach him a lesson for taunting wildlife at Yellowstone. We talk about it fairly often on Dave & Chuck The Freak. Someone at Yellowstone or another national park decides to get too close to an animal and bad things happen. This guy was just fortunate to avoid it because he was all alone out there it looks like and things could have gone really bad fast!

Despite how big they are, bison can be very agile and quick! You don't want to mess with one. According to The New York Post, bison can charge up to 30 miles per hour which can do a lot of damage. Again, this guy is very lucky. That bison got way too close for comfort and he was really egging it on. That was not the smart decision.

Typically, people doing this will end up getting gored. Those are how these videos often seem to end when we bring them up on the show. This one didn't end up going that way and hopefully this doesn't inspire more people to try to taunt bison and other animals at Yellowstone. Just let them be and enjoy from a far. It can be a wonderful experience.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
