A California plumber is making the rounds online after heroically saving a grandma from a bee swarm. She was stung more than 100 times!

At that point, I feel like you're lucky to be alive. Don't get me wrong, I know very little about bees as I run away the second I see one or even believe I see one. I'm often mistaken. However, it sounds like she was simply unable to run. When you're facing a bee swarm that can happen. Had he not stepped in to save her the outcome of the bee swarm could have been much worse. I don't know if I could have stepped in to save her like he did! This guy is a national hero! What would you have done?

The incident happened in Santee, California which is outside of San Diego. According to CBS 8, the bee swarm left the woman hospitalized with more than 100 bee stings and all of it was caught on camera. The plumber, Diosdado San Roque, works with Happy Plumbing and was just wrapping up a call when him and his co-worker spotted something happening around the corner. They reportedly saw people spraying bug spray everywhere and when they drove closer realized an elderly woman was leaning against her car surrounded by a thick swarm of bees, per CBS 8.

San Roque tells CBS 8, "I realized she had a bunch of bees on the side of her face. She told me in Spanish she was about to pass out, and right then she collapsed. I caught her just before she hit the ground."

That had to have been a really scary moment for everyone involved! If you find yourself in a bee swarm, they say the best thing to do is run, cover your face, and get indoors, per CBS 8.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
