A truck crash left a Pennsylvania highway covered in mozzarella cheese! This is no laughing matter.

Mozzarella cheese is a terrible thing to waste. It's so much better in our mouths than it is on the highway. So much wasted cheese that will never be enjoyed. It's a major bummer. I feel like this is another one of Dave's nightmare scenarios. Unfortunately, it's no nightmare. This is a reality. It happened in Central Pennsylvania in Centre County. It was so bad that traffic had to be shutdown for hours, and I assume that's for the clean-up process which was likely extensive and not so people could mourn the loss of the precious cheese.

Notice that note at the bottom of the Facebook post? It says, "Note: all cheese will be headed to the landfill as the load was deemed unsalvageable due to being unrefrigerated for hours." The birds in that area are going to be treated to a special snack it sounds like. WPXI reports that the incident happened around 5am on I-80. WXPI says that the crash involved 3 tractor-trailers. The result of the crash was mozzarella cheese spilling out and stretching the length of 200 yards. Two whole football fields of highway covered in cheese! That would be a crazy sight to behold.

According to BroBible, nobody was injured during the mozzarella cheese incident. Now, we not only have the String Cheese Incident, a quality jam band that I recommend you check out, very relaxing tunes, but now we have the mozzarella cheese incident! Not as chill.

You can see a video report on the crash provided by WTAJ on YouTube below.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
