Naples officials gave the green light to final plans for 83 luxury units at Four Seasons Naples Beach Club, marking a key milestone in transforming the historic Naples Beach Hotel — a whopping $362.28 million project.
The Athens Group, which bought the century-old hotel in 2021, will build units ranging from 13,134 to 19,810 square feet. The property will include a luxurious 216-room hotel right by the beach.
Working with the city, 104 acres of open space will remain untouched. The development will feature Market Square for public dining and entertainment, along with four residential buildings ranging from four to seven stories tall.
The upcoming Golfside Residences will blend leisure with the outdoors and feature a beautiful pool, an elegant pool house, landscaped gardens, and a serene lake pavilion. The buildings get shorter near Coquina Sands, creating a smooth transition.
"The new buildings fit seamlessly into the Gulf Shore Boulevard neighborhood, complementing nearby homes with consistent architectural details, proportions and materials,” architect Tim McCarthy told Gulf Shore Business. “… The proposed Golfside Residences are designed to incorporate the benefit of natural resources and protect the residents, the guests and the service team from undesirable weather.”
Board members applauded Hart Howerton Ltd. and O'Donnell Dannwolf & Partners for carefully considering walker and bike safety. The updated design better connects buildings and landscaping along Gulf Shore Boulevard.
Original plans from 2018 included 150 units, restaurants, a two-story spa, and beachfront pools.
