Sandbox VR's 56th location opens at Gulf Coast Town Center in Fort Myers this March. Each month, over 100,000 people dive into their virtual experiences. Notable investors like Andreessen Horowitz and Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund have invested in Sandbox VR, along with celebrities like Katy Perry and Kevin Durant.
“The convenient location and dynamic lineup of exclusive shopping, dining, and entertainment make Gulf Coast Town Center the ideal home for Sandbox VR Fort Myers,” Steve Zhao, CEO and Founder of Sandbox VR, told Business Wire.
Located at 9902 Gulf Coast Main St., the venue features four private gaming rooms. Groups of up to six players gear up with state-of-the-art VIVE Focus 3 headsets, haptic vests that simulate physical feedback, and motion trackers that capture their movements.
Players can choose from nine immersive adventures. Try out favorites like "Squid Game Virtuals" or face off against dragons in "Seekers of the Shard: Dragonfire." The newest additions include "Rebel Moon: The Descent" — a Netflix space thriller — and "Deadwood PHOBIA," which drops players into a zombie-infested medical facility.
Their success hasn't gone unnoticed - Fast Company named them to their 2024 Most Innovative list. They climbed to spot 129 on Inc. 5000's fastest-growing companies list.
