Hot Or Not?: Female Ref Gets Lifetime Ban
For this 'Hot Or Not?' we're heading to Turkey! In Turkey, we're going to meet 24-year-old Elif Karaarslan who is a female ref who was given a lifetime ban after allegedly engaging in a sex tape with an observer. It sounds like she's a former player who had to stop playing due to an injury. However, apparently, now she will have to step away from refereeing as well.
According to Daily Star, Karaarslan starred in a saucy recording alongside referees' observer Orhan Erdemir--who's 61-years-old nearly 3x her age! Erdemir has also reportedly been banned due to the alleged sex tape. Daily Mail reports that Karaarslan, who was born in Istanbul, denies being in the video and is planning on appealing the decision. She tells Daily Star, "I will have a long road ahead legally, but will overcome in the strongest and most robust way. I look forward to your full support and love in this process. Crying, screaming and being sad are not things I would do. That is not me. I will stand by my cause until the end. I am just one of many who are being harmed--I hope I am the last."
Contrarily, Erdemir has admitted that it is him in the video telling Daily Star, "My honour in my family, my social circle and the refereeing community has been blown away. In addition to my financial losses, the emotional damage I have suffered is indescribable."
