Roller Skating Competition Show Coming To Max
A roller skating competition show is coming to Max! Is this something you’d be interested in watching?
It sounds like a show we never asked for but could it end up being entertaining? A trailer for “Roller Jam” was just released and it has the internet talking. The show that sounds like a blast from the past is set to debut on Max on Thursday, October 10th. It will reportedly have former American Idol alum Jordin Sparks as host and will be produced by “Fixer Upper” stars Chip and Joanna Gaines!
Will You Watch The New Roller Skating Competition Show?
We’ve seen a lot of reality shows from building homes, to life as a celebrity, to eccentric dating shows, and now a roller skating competition? If you think The Masked Singer was unique wait until you check this out. It will be a 6-episode series that showcases some of the most talented roller skating crews in the country as they perform routines inspired by different decades. It sounds like it could be fun for the entire family. If watching roller skating is your version of “fun,” of course.
According to People, the winner will receive $150,000 and be awarded a $10,000 donation to their local rink. 2-time US Olympian and national figure skating champion Johnny Weir, roller-skating legend Terrell Ferguson, and a celebrity guest will serve as judges. People reports those celebrity judges include Michelle Williams, Maureen McCormick, Pepa, Marissa Janet Winokur, Debbie Gibson, and Joanna Gaines, herself.
During the trending trailer, a voice can be heard saying, “This is the biggest thing in roller skate history. This is Roller Jam.” I guess it has been a long time since we’ve gotten any roller skating content on our TV. There was that movie a long time ago Roll Bounce and Whip It, I forgot there have been a couple! It’s been a while though so now it’s trying to make a comeback. I’m a big fan of Chip and Joanna Gaines but more for what they do with homes or in the kitchen. I’m not sure about their background in roller skating or why they picked this but I can see it doing well with a certain demographic–just probably not me. You can check out the trailer for yourself below. What do you think? Is this something you would watch? Or will you stick to re-runs of “Fixer Upper?”
