Panera Bread Employee Hits Unruly Customer With Pizza Paddle
The charged lemonades aren’t the only thing capable of causing damage at Panera Bread. It turns out the employees are willing and able to step up if anything goes wrong inside a store. From the story, you’d think this happened at a Waffle House but it was, indeed, a Panera Bread.
According to KDVR, Isaac “Kendall” Ross came into the Panera location in Glendale and started causing a disturbance by screaming and hitting things off the counter. Witnesses at the store say it seemed like the suspect was demanding their phone. Natalie Wiersma tells KDVR, “The suspect was yelling it at the workers and they were all super confused-looking and said, ‘We don’t have your phone.'” That’s when it sounds like Ross threw something at the employees which turned out to be a smoothie, he then yelled a racial slur at another customer, and continued causing mayhem in the restaurant.
KDVR reports that Ross knocked everything off of the counter and a different customer tried to jump in to help and get Ross to stop. In video taken at the scene, an employee is seen coming out from behind the counter and hitting Ross over the head with one of those pans used for putting pizzas in the oven. Wiersma tells KDVR that the employee is her hero and that the move seemed to be effective in getting Ross to stop what he was doing. However, he eventually escaped and got away before police made it to the scene. KDVR reports Ross came back to the store and attacked another man causing minor injuries, but remains missing and at large. Know anything about his whereabouts?
