Texas Man Arrested After String Of Exploding Toilet Pranks

A Texas man has been arrested after executing a string of exploding toilet pranks. Now, the joke is on him.

Look, let's just leave the pranks to the Impractical Jokers. When they do it they're funny. When other people do them? Not so much. Three people were reportedly injured from these exploding toilet pranks.

An innocent prank between friends is one thing, doing it to strangers in public is different. While exploding toilet pranks might sound funny, this was no laughing matter. This was not the type of toilet explosion they were expecting when they sat down, I'm sure.

According to Law & Crime, a 46-year-old man in Texas has been accused of rigging toilets at several locations of a local car wash chain by placing small explosives underneath the toilet seats that were designed to detonate upon pressure. Yeah, that can seriously hurt somebody! That suspect has been identified as Paul Moses Alden, who had a membership at the business. He has been taken into custody and charged with 1 count of arson causing reckless damage or bodily injury, per Law & Crime.

The first 2 incidents happened at a Wash Tub in Helotes, Texas and a third incident happened at a Tub Wash in San Antonio. According to Law & Order, police say, "During this incident, two loud 'bangs' were heard from the bathroom at two separate times while an employee (the victim) and child were using the toilet." Oh, no! A kid was in there? Come on! After the incident happened, a company representative believed they knew who was responsible but they didn't know the customer's name.

A police affidavit obtained by Law & Order reads, "The defendant was identified by management as the suspect setting these fireworks/small explosives from security video placing him arriving at all three incidents prior to the explosions, using the same vehicle and membership information." Alden has been arrested and released and should be scheduled to appear in court again in the future. You can see his mugshot provided by the San Antonio Police Department below.

Growing up, we had Ashton Kutcher's Punk'd on MTV. For many of us that was our introduction to pranks. Some of the biggest celebrities were pranked in hilarious fashion on that show. You had Justin Timberlake (we'll get to that later), Shaq, Kanye West, and more all getting pranked on camera. It was a fantastic show. The remake didn't quite live up to the original.

Now, The Impractical Jokers are incredibly popular. They do different kinds of pranks than we saw on shows like Punk'd. Instead of messing with celebrities, they mess with strangers and it's one of the funniest shows currently airing on TV. Personally, I'm a huge fan.

Pranks are a big part of Late Night TV, as well. We've seen all of the hosts execute pranks. Jimmy Kimmel definitely does a lot and James Corden had some of the best I've seen, as well.

Of course, pranks aren't always funny. You have to know your audience and there should be an agreed upon set of rules. Making a friend cry might sound funny at the time, but it can be traumatic. That's why many people dread April Fool's Day. Sometimes, you might want to leave stuff like that to the professionals. Not everyone is cut out to be Ashton Kutcher, as much as I would love that face on mine. I mean, I'd love to have his face.

I admit, I was never the biggest James Corden fan. However, this is one of the best things he ever did. It's truly hilarious. It's such a well-executed prank. David Beckham is receiving a gift, so he can't be mean about it...but at the same time he has to say something! He's put in such an awkward moment and hilarity ensues.

Speaking of James Corden, he may be known for the pranks he pulled but sometimes the pranker becomes the prankee! Katie Couric got him good on this one. I love the way he panics. Good on Katie. He had this coming.

How could you not love Jennifer Aniston? She's friendly, adorable, and an icon. She's also hilarious and a good sport. She's put in an awkward situation with this interview and comes out on top. I love her.

John Krasinski and Jimmy Kimmel had some funny Prank Wars. The pair dished out prank after prank. However, this one stands above the rest. All of them are great, but I always found this one funny. Check out the whole collection!

He was pranked so badly he was brought to tears...on national television. I'm honestly surprised he signed the release waiver! It goes to show he's a good sport.
