Chicago Woman Arrested After Sharing Applebee’s All-You-Can-Eat Order
A Chicago woman was arrested in Indiana after sharing her Applebee’s all-you-can-eat order! The all-you-can eat order isn’t for the whole table!
It sounds like she caused quite the scene after being confronted for sharing the Applebee’s all-you-can-eat order. Things got loud and she was hauled off to jail! Just another day in the neighborhood!
Woman Arrested After Sharing Applebee’s All-You-Can-Eat Order
Something like this happened in an episode of Larry David‘s Curb Your Enthusiasm. Although, on the show they were able to get out of it. Unfortunately, this woman was not as lucky.
According to Tuscon.com, 28-year-old Shawneesha Cobbs, of Chicago, claimed not to understand that the all-you-can-eat order at Applebee’s didn’t apply to the entire table of customers. The table had reportedly ordered 2 all-you-can-eat orders for their table to share together. Well, you can’t do that! It’s not how it works. Everyone has to have their own all-you-can-eat order. After being told that it wasn’t allowed, a verbal disturbance broke out, per Tuscon.com. That argument apparently intensified once the group was given all-you-can-eat orders for each person on the bill. After ignoring requests to calm down from law enforcement, and her friends as well, she was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct, per Tuscon.com.
They must have thought they scored a serious deal at first. How much does an all-you-can-eat meal cost at Applebee’s? Let’s call it $20 max? That would be awesome to go out with your friends and score a meal for four or five people for $40. Unfortunately, if it sounds too good to be true it usually is and that was the case here. Sadly, all-you-can-eat meals only apply to the person ordering them. You can see Shawneesha Cobbs’ mugshot below.
Sounds like she probably wouldn’t have gotten in any trouble if they just paid the bill. The freak out afterwards is what did her in, it sounds like. Can’t blame them for trying! All-you-can-eat implies no limits and if it’s on the plate, it’s fair game. That’s the logic Larry David and his lawyer used in the clip up above. It worked for them! However, she must not have seen that episode because it didn’t work out as well for her. You don’t want to be arrested at Applebee’s. Anywhere in public is bad but Applebee’s just hits differently. So much for “Eatin’ Good In The Neighborhood.”
