Wife Allegedly Spikes Husband's Mountain Dew With Roundup
According to KY3, Laclede County deputies arrested Michelle Y. Peters, 47, after she was accused of spiking her husband's Mountain Dew with Roundup, a popular herbicide and weed killer commonly found in homes. Peters is now facing charges of first-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action. A judge ordered no bond for her.
In addition to the Roundup, KY3 reports she also spiked his drink with an insecticide. The husband reportedly starting feeling ill and suspected something was wrong with his drink. In surveillance video provided to investigators, Peters was seen tampering with the Mountain Dew in the garage fridge.
According to KY3, Peters eventually admitted to putting Roundup in her husband's drink and says she was mad because he didn't appreciate the 50th birthday party she threw for him. Really?! You try to kill him over that! Can't you just yell at him? Maybe have an affair? But don't try to kill him over it!
That is certainly not the way to handle your problems. It's wild that people think they can do that and get away with it. Especially when it's all over something so small! What would she do if something bad actually happened? I wouldn't want to know! Seeing her reaction to this little issue is all too telling. You think you know someone!
The husband did survive and Peters entered a plea of not guilty. She'll be back in court soon where more information is expected to come to light. In the meantime, you can check out her mugshot below!
