The British accent is one of the most fun accents to imitate. I think we can all agree on that. Everyone has their own and they’re fun to do. This 8-year-old girl’s accent is hilarious and you can’t blame her for complaining about how expensive ice cream has gotten! Check out the viral video below.

This accent is hilarious and adorable. Sure, it can be a little tough to understand but that’s part of what makes it so awesome. I wish I had a cool accent. Unfortunately, I do not. Despite not being able to fully understand what she’s saying, there’s no mistaking that she is upset. You don’t have to hear every word to be able to understand that she is not happy about how expensive this ice cream is. It’s a good thing she’s learning early that life can be cruel.
In the video, the young British girl with a thick accent is seen complaining about having to spend “9 quid for 2 ice creams.” That turns out to be about $11.40 in American dollars. Is it expensive? Absolutely. However, that seems to be about average these days. It’s to the point where you expect to pay a ridiculously high price for just about anything these days. Even fast food has gotten out of hand. Remember when there used to be a Dollar Menu? Now they have to call it a “Value Menu.” We didn’t forget the old slogan “got a buck? you’re in luck!” Neither did we forget about the $5 footlongs. Now, you’re spending like $11 for 12 inches! It’s crazy! I complain about it all the time, but I don’t go viral because of my stupid non-accent.

I have spent so much time in drive-thrus that I think I could be considered an expert witness in a court case, at this point. I’ve seen delicious items come and go, prices climb, and experiences all the promos and deals. Why did KFC get rid of the Twister? When will McDonald’s bring back the famous Snack Wraps? These are all questions I ask every day, and sadly have no answers for. However, one day…we will get them back. I truly believe it in my heart of hearts.
I could go on and on about my love for the value menu. I’d say at least once a week I think back on my high school days when the Junior Bacon Cheeseburger from Wendy’s was only 99 cents. Do you remember that? 99 cents! It was amazing. Now, the price for one JBC is closer to $3 than it is 99 cents. I feel like this is the new version of that old “back in my day, we’d walk 2 miles to school up hill both ways! stories your grandparents would tell. Now, these stories are all about how low the value menu prices were back in our day. “When I was your age, every item on the dollar menu was a dollar!”
