The Gig Is Up For The Chuck E. Cheese Animatronic Band
It’s a curtain call for the Chuck E. Cheese Animatronic Band! The Munch’s Make Believe Band is calling it quits after decades of entertainment. Some people are sad and nostalgic about the news while others are celebrating that they won’t have to see those creepy things any more.
After decades of entertaining, they will be hanging up their instruments once and for all soon. When is it going to happen? Find out more below!
Chuck E. Cheese Animatronic Band Calling It Quits
The Chuck E. Cheese animatronic band features Chuck E. Cheese on vocals along with Helen Henny, Jasper T. Jowls has been on the guitar, Mr. Munch on keyboards, and Pasqually on the drums. By the end of the year, all of the bands will be remove from Chuck E. Cheese locations except for two locations. The band will play on in a Los Angeles, California location and a Nanuet, New York location.
So, what will be replacing the famous Chuck E. Cheese animatronic band? It has to be a hard act to follow after four decades of entertainment. Billboard reports that the band will be replaced by giant TV screens, digital dance floors, and trampoline floors ! I think this new generation of youth may appreciate that. It’s been a rough couple of years for the once-popular chain. They were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2020, according to Billboard.
According to Billboard, CEO David McKillips said, “Kids are consuming entertainment differently than they were 10, 20 years ago. Kids, really of all ages, are consuming their entertainment on a screen.” Well, after trying hard to keep kids away from screens and limit screen time, it looks like the technology has won. We’re saying goodbye to live entertainment in favor of more giant screens.
What will happen to the animatronic band at Chuck E. Cheese now? The company is staying quiet on their plans. Hopefully, they find a place to give the band more shows. Five Nights At Freddy’s keeps coming to mind and we do not want that out come for Chuck E. Cheese and the gang. That would be incredibly scary…although it was a great movie.
