A new robot assistant can do household chores like cooking, cleaning, and even opening tight jars. Wait, I struggle to do that! Is this new robot assistant handy or horrifying?

Will Smith's character in iRobot would not be pleased with this development. Sure, it might be a little scary to think about the robots uprising and taking over the world. However, what this robot assistant can do is actually pretty cool. It could be worth the risk of our ultimate demise.

What Can The New Robot Assistant Do?

If you're the type of person to legitimately be concerned about robots taking over the world, then you're not going to like what you're about to hear. It's not a product made and designed in the United States, it's from a Chinese company. If our government doesn't trust TikTok having influence then they're certainly not going to like this development and technology--even if it is super awesome and cool.

the new A.I. robot assistant is made by a Chinese company called Astribot and they shared a video of their creation and it's been spreading across the internet. Naturally, some are impressed and others are concerned.

In the video, the robot is seen doing common household chores like cleaning, vacuuming, and picking up around the house. However, it also does some things you wouldn't expect like pour wine, water the plants, and open a jar that would be a struggle to open ourselves.

Unfortunately, there's still no word on how much the impressive robot will cost; however, it's expected to be available on the market later this year. I think we can assume it's going to cost more than most of us can afford.

Check out the video of the impressive robot assistant below. What do you think? Would you want one or would you have trouble feeling safe around one? It's gone both ways in the movies, you never really know.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
