Taco Bell Is Testing An Unexpected Treat
Taco Bell has to be one of the most innovative fast-food restaurants in the game. They seem to be at the forefront of creativity in the fast-food world. They’ve came out with taco shells that are Doritos, Nacho Fries, and now chicken nuggets?
Crispy Chicken Nuggets are being tested at locations in Houston, Texas. Could they be coming to a location near you? Are they any good? Is it even Mexican food? There are lots of questions about the latest creation at Taco Bell, hopefully we can find some answers.
Taco Bell Is Testing Chicken Nuggets
First, let me say they don’t look bad! Sure, you can’t judge a book by its cover so you have to use some caution. However, I’ve seen much worse looking chicken nuggets from restaurants that allegedly specialize in chicken!
According to Chew Boom, Taco Bell tested Crispy Chicken Nuggets in the Minneapolis area last year, and now they’re giving it a try in Houston, Texas. Now, I’m not trying to judge or anything but one has to imagine people in Houston, Texas know a little more about quality Mexican food than their counterparts up in Minnesota. Granted, are these nuggets even supposed to be Mexican?
The answer to that is a surprising: yes. These Taco Bell nuggets aren’t your ordinary nuggets! Chew Boom says they’re made from premium all-white meat marinated chicken that’s infused with a mild jalapeno buttermilk marinade, it’s then coated in a golden crispy layer featuring crunchy tortilla bits. Okay, I’ll count that as a Mexican Chicken Nugget! The pepper and the tortilla chips are enough to have it qualify, in my opinion.
Currently, the 5-piece nuggets are available for $3.49-$3.99, the 10-piece nuggets for $6.49-$6.99, and there are premium meals being offered at participating locations, per Chew Boom. Check out what the Taco Bell chicken nuggets look like below!
