A man in Oregon is thanking his lucky stars after he was nearly cut in half by a runaway sawblade! He was literally seconds away from losing his life.
This was such a close call, it’s almost like something out of a movie. How did it happen? Here’s more on the story. Then, check out the crazy video below!
Runaway Sawblade Nearly Cuts Man In Half
According to KEZI, a concrete saw came loose from a nearby construction site and went flying down a parking lot and nearly hit a man. The man has since been identified as Shane Reimche. He was entering Quicktrips Neighborhood Market in Eugene when the incident happened, per KEZI. Had he waited an extra second or stopped to tie his shoes, he would no longer be with us.
This is terrifying! He would have never seen this thing coming. You would never expect a rogue sawblade to be flying down the parking lot at you. Especially at the wild speeds it was traveling at. It looks like it was wound up and shot out of a machine, or something. Seriously, how did it get so fast?
According to KEZI, Reimche said, “I was walking into the store here, I put my hand on the door and I heard a loud bang and yelling. Just as a cloud of smoke pops up and I see a guy fall in the ditch. And a four-foot blade hurtling at me. Last minute I was able to duck behind the counter.”
KEZI reports when the saw hit the store it was so powerful it shook the entire building. It’s very believable after seeing the speed and velocity the sharp object was traveling. Thankfully, nobody was injured during the incident.
Check out a video of it below! It’s absolutely crazy! See for yourself! This guy is very lucky.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
