Dogs truly are man’s best friend. However, we all know people are terrible. So, you can’t blame this dog for wanting to be best friends with a dolphin.
A video of a dog chasing a dolphin in the water has gone viral in TikTok, and it is adorable.
This Dog Really Wants To Be Friends With A Dolphin
The video shared by @morgiepb now has more than 1.5 million views on TikTok, probably half of those views are from Lisa. Clearly, this Golden Retriever loves animals. I think it wants to be a dolphin.
In the video, a voice says, “We live in the Bahamas and today a dolphin came in our canal. I have a golden retriever and she is obsessed with sea creatures.” In the video, you can see that she is telling the truth. Most dogs would stay back and bark at the creature in the water. However, not this one! Nope, it jumps right in the canal to hang out with the dolphin.
The dog moves at an impressive speed while chasing after the dolphin. I know my dog doesn’t move that fast. It’s funny watching it investigate and then decide, “yup, I’m going for it.” You can almost see the Golden Retriever thinking and the moment it decides it’s going to act.
Of course, this could have ended differently. Sure, dolphins are cute. However, it’s their territory! I don’t ever want to go into their territory. I’m not sure what could have happened to the dog, but thankfully nothing did. Everybody came out of the incident just fine! Hopefully, there will be a follow-up and these two different species can one day become legit friends. That would be awesome.
Check out the viral video below! Then, keep scrolling for more animal moments caught on camera! Although, not all of them are as cute as this example.

First, it’s not always the predators that are behaving in ways that end up in the news. It can be the smallest and most innocent of animals…or, sure, it could be a violent predator. Sometimes, the animals are behaving a specific way completely unprovoked, other times they’re responding to something a person has done. If you mess around with wild animals, there’s a good chance you’re going to find out why that’s a terrible idea.
Typically, these kinds of endings can be avoided. A good way to not end up the star of a news story alongside a wild animal? Keep a safe distance. You’ll notice in most of these stories and videos, the problems could have been avoided if people just used a little bit of common sense. Don’t antagonize wild animals and be careful if you’re close to the animal. Especially if it’s significantly bigger than you!

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
