Sports cars are meant to go fast. Likewise, Germany’s Autobahn is meant to be driven on at fast speeds. So, wouldn’t a Ferrari Enzo and the Autobahn go hand-in-hand? Well, not exactly! A $3.5 million Ferrari Enzo wrecked on Germany’s Autobahn!
The damage is extensive and I can’t imagine what the driver was feeling when it happened. I panic if I get a small little scratch on my cheap lease. If it was worth millions of dollars, I’d probably faint and never wake up again. Here are the details on the story.
$3.5 Million Ferrari Enzo Wrecked On Germany’s Autobahn
I’m not what you’d call a “car guy.” However, I do know a thing or two and have respect for nice vehicles. I’ve just never gotten into them because I’m well aware I will never be able to purchase one. So, if you’re like me and don’t know much about sports cars, let me tell you: the Ferrari Enzo is one-of-a-kind. It’s one of Ferrari’s final halo cars without a hybrid engine. It’s worth $3.5 million. Obviously, it’s not something you want to break. It’s definitely not something you want to totally wreck. Unfortunately, it happened.
The Drive reports the driver lost control of the Enzo on the A99 section of the Autobahn late Tuesday morning. That’s when the car smashed into a guardrail. Debris from the impact was scattered as far as 650 feet, which shows it must have been traveling at an extreme speed–which is allowed on the Autobahn. In fact, most of the popular German highway doesn’t have a speed limit. So, these kind of speeds are not rare.
The Enzo wasn’t the only car on the road at the time, it did damage another car in the crash. According to The Drive, 3 people were injured in the accident and one person was sent to the hospital. Turns out, the driver of the car was the official test driver at a dealership! They are unsure if the car will be able to be rebuilt. The damage is very bad. However, Ferrari might be able to reproduce everything needed to restore the car back into good condition. Check out more on the damage below.

That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office.
