The weather has been freezing cold across North America the past week. We’ve seen temperatures in several areas drop into negative temperatures. The temperatures have been shockingly cold lately. These wild experiments show just how cold it’s been.
Canadian Man’s Viral Cold Weather Experiments
Joe Chowaniec of Alberta, Canada showed how cold it was near him in his now viral videos. He was seen being able to pound a nail with a banana, freezing boiling ramen, and more.
His videos have now gone viral on basically all of the social media sites. I’m sure teachers all over North America are using his videos in their lesson plans now. Well, they should be at least. This is some fascinating stuff! I’m sure content and lessons like this could hold their attention. That’s the key to our educational future: turn lessons into TikTok videos.
Check out the video he shared on Day 4 of the deep freeze. Today an egg frozen in time. #egg #eggs #frozen #winter #cold #freeze #frozen #deepfreeze #polarvortex #fun #experiment #alberta #canada #edmonton #yeg #yegwx #abwx #shareyourweather pic.twitter.com/FyLb5Eevwf

Additionally, he was able to freeze toilet paper outside. It’s so cold it’s just hanging there suspended in mid air! How does that happen? Watch his video on Day 5 of the deep freeze. -34c this morning. Warmer tomorrow. He tells CNN, “people should make the best of the conditions they’re in.” He makes a good point. However, these conditions are actually pretty dangerous! Those temperatures are not to be messed with.
Additionally, throwing boiling water in the air and expecting it to freeze is a cool sight, if it goes right. If it doesn’t? You could end up in some serious pain. Turns out, that’s happened to some people trying to do this stunt. So, definitely don’t try what he’s doing at home. The temperatures in Alberta are very very low.
Stay safe out there, friends!
