Man Blows Up His Apartment Trying To Kill A Cockroach
Nobody wants cockroaches in their home. At the same time, it’s better to have a home with cockroaches than not have a home at all. A man in Japan blew up his apartment trying to kill a cockroach.
The accident happened early Sunday morning in the city of Kumamoto, which is roughly 230 miles southwest of Hiroshima. Would you go that far to get rid of pests?
Man In Japan Blows Up Apartment Trying To Kill Cockroach
According to a report by the Mainichi Shimbun newspaper, the 54-year old man saw a single cockroach inside his apartment and sprayed a ton of insecticide in hopes of eliminating it.
About a minute later the report says an explosion went off which blew out a balcony window. The man suffered a minor injury during the blast, according to The New York Post.
An investigation into the explosion found burn marks near the victim’s kotatsu, which is a Japanese heating table, according to The New York Post.
The New York Post points out that The National Consumer Affairs Center of Japan reports receiving multiple reports of explosions connected to spraying insecticide near electrical outlets.
However, this is the type of think you risk when you use unconventional methods to get rid of bugs in your home. The New York Post points out a woman in Ohio who burned her house to the ground after she used rubbing alcohol close to an open flame while attempting to remove bedbugs.
You see, this is why I don’t mess with the bugs in my house. I let M’Lady take care of it for me. Bugs are scary. I want nothing to do with them. Maybe if they know I am not out to mess with them they won’t want to mess with me. Have you ever tried to use a different method to remove insects from your home?
