What Makes The Perfect Butt According To Science
Sir Mix-A-Lot said it best, “I like big butts and I cannot lie.” What an incredible and relatable sentence. Now, plastic surgeons have revealed what makes the perfect butt according to science.
According to Daily Mail, two studies that have been published in an academic journal show that size is actually not the most important factor when it comes to the perfect butt. Of course, with all due respect to the Kardashian family.
What Makes The Perfect Butt?
Daily Mail points out that in one study conducted by surgeons at Loma Linda University, asked participants to look at pictures of 8 different butts which had been digitally generated.
Then, they were asked to say which one they found to be the most attractive. The results showed that they found the waist to hip ratio of 0.65 the most attractive. That number indicated a more narrow waist that flared slightly into the hips. You can check out a visual graphic provided by Daily Mail here.
However, if you went by Hollywood standards, you would think that the hourglass figure was the most desired. Turns out, that’s not the case.
Regarding the female results, Dr. Marc Everett told DailyMail.com, “The mid-2010s brought an explosion in popularity of ‘Brazilian Butt Lift’ or BBL. But these days we are seeing fewer patients requesting extreme results. Instead, they’re going for more modest size fat transfers, which put them into the ‘unsuspecting’ or ‘it could still be natural’ category.”
In a separate study, participants were shown five photos of male butts and asked to rate them on a scale of 1 to 5, with five being the most attractive, according to Daily Mail.
For men, the number one ranked butt was also moderately sized. However, the outlines of the muscles were shown to be more defined, Daily Mail says.
Brazilian Butt Lifts have soared in popularity in recent years, going from nearly 4,000 in 2011 to 61,000 in 2021. Read more about the study at DailyMail.com!
