Rolex Roulette: Florida Man Charged After Pawning Phoney Luxury Watches in Naples
Ah, the Rolex watch… Everyone’s heard of it, but actually owning one is something most of us only dream about. If you ever get the chance to purchuse one, make sure it’s not from this guy. Meet Olgierd Wielecki. This crook tried to pass off his luxury Rolex in Naples as the real deal. And boy, did he get caught red-handed.
According to NBC2, this guy walked into Pine Ridge Pawn and Jewelry, eager to turn a quick buck by pawning off a supposed Rolex Submariner. The pawn shop took one look and thought, “Wait a minute, this ain’t right.” The Rolex Submariner turned out to be a dead in the water fake.
Not long after on November 16, and Wielecki decides to take another swing at the pawn game, this time with another fancy Rolex. But oh no, lightning doesn’t strike the same fake Rolex twice. The keen-eyed pawn shop crew noticed that the serial number was laser engraved, not the traditional Rolex imprint. Plus, it was missing some fancy thumb screws that the real Rolex flaunts. Case closed. Literally.
As if his dive into the counterfeit luxury world wasn’t bad enough, Wielecki’s pockets turned into a treasure trove for Collier County deputies. Forget spare change and lint… They found a stash of cocaine, Adderall, and Xanax. I guess he needed more than a Rolex to pass the time.
Now, Olgierd Wielecki is facing a symphony of charges. Not only fruad charges, but also drug possession charges. Sure passing off fake Rolex watches to pawnshops might seem like Ocean’s Eleven material, but in reality, it’s more 11 years in jail.
Who knew pawning fake Rolex watches could lead to such consequences?

Why Florida
The sunshine state boasts some of the world’s most beautiful beaches. Beautiful beaches are a perfect setting for magnificent accommodations. We have stunning resorts and beautiful vacation rentals beachfront as well as inland. However, this report says more and more people are looking for nautical adventures along the Florida coastline. The Sunshine State also gets high marks in the categories of “luxury cruise” and “luxury yacht.”
The Mid-Atlantic region of the country had three states making the top ten list. Virginia is number seven, Washington D.C is number nine and Maryland is number ten. Finally, on the opposite end of the spectrum, North Dakota ranked last. It seems the state is not not of the mind when it comes to luxury getaways. Perhaps people who visit there are looking for more rustic experiences.
