Geddy Lee is a known baseball fanatic with an amazing memorabilia collection to boot. Now, the iconic Rush bassist/singer is auctioning some of his impressive collection.
Lee has partnered with Christie's to sell 270 pieces of baseball memorabilia. Most of the pieces are signed baseballs, but these baseballs are not all signed by baseball players. Lee is auctioning off some baseballs signed by U.S. Presidents. Among the POTUS baseballs are Dwight D. Eisenhower, Herbert Hoover, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harry S. Truman and one signed by both John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson.
Lee is also auctioning off some unique baseballs signed by baseball legends. Among those are Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Roberto Clemente and a unique baseball signed by Mickey Mantle with the inscription, "Happy Hanuhak, Mickey Mantle."
However, the baseball that might fetch the biggest selling price is one signed by The Beatles. Per the lot's listing, this baseball was signed by all four Beatles in honor of their 1965 show at Shea Stadium. It's estimated to sell between $100,000 and $300,000. However, don't be surprised if this unique baseball sells for way more.
Lee said via Instagram about his collection that it's time to part ways with some of it so other collectors can enjoy these items. He did note, " ... I must have had too much stuff because after these selections were sent to Christie's, my wife stepped into my office and said, 'Hey! I thought you were selling some of your collection?? ' … Uh, yeah Honey, I am…. Oopsie!"

Few bands have enjoyed legendary decades-spanning career like Rush. Fewer still have been able to take their final bow on their own terms. Once Rush reached arena-headlining status, they never had to "downsize," or even go on package tours. They rarely played multi-act festivals and towards the end of their career, even stopped using opening acts on their tours, so that they could play longer shows. They also were always able to play a lot of new music at their shows, and fans responded. They've had classic songs on every album, starting with their self-titled debut in 1974, up through their final album, 2012's Clockwork Angels. Of course, that made it difficult to narrow down this list to just 50 songs -- and of course so many of you will disagree with the songs we included, the songs we didn't include, and the order. That's part of the fun of lists, though.
