‘Cooterween’ Is Coming To A Small Town In Florida This October

Excuse me? What? Cooterween is coming to the small town of Inverness, Florida as part of a month long Cootertober celebration. Cootertober features  several themed weekends.  There’s the Cooter Music Festival, Cooter Carnival, Cooterpocalypse, and Cooterspooktacular. There’s also numerous individual events. Cootertober really does have a little something for everyone.

Starting off this month long celebration on October 1st is the Cooter King & Queen pageant, which leads into the Cooter Music Festival on October 7th and 8th. Also on October 8th is the Cooter Carnival, featuring a wide assortment of local businesses providing homemade carnival games, a Cooter potato sack race, strolling acrobats, food trucks, face painters, a pumpkin design competition, and more.

Cooterpocalypse takes place on October 20-22nd. During this themed weekend, hoards of zombies will descend on the downtown Inverness area. Activities include a Zombie Prom on October 20th, a Zombie Run on October 21st, and a Zombie scavenger hunt on October 22nd.

During the Cooterspooktacular, October 27th-28th, it’s a mass haunting.  You’ll find two unique haunted houses in downtown Inverness and a haunted movie in the park.

On October 31st from 5-8 pm, is Cooterween. Cooterween is hosted by the Downtown Business Association and features a family-friendly, safe alternative to trick or treating.  There’s a DJ and a youth costume contest.

Finally, as for why it’s called Cootertober, it’s named after the City’s mascot, Sunny Cooter. I think Sunny is a turtle.

Some games even have ways to make the characters hotter. Games like Fallout 4 have mods to make some of the NPCs more attractive and even the aptly named “busty” mod which makes the characters um – curvy.

According to a new survey of video game players, 44% admit to having a crush on a video game character and 52% have been sexually attracted to one! As for the hottest characters in the game? We asked gamers to rank characters on a 1 to 5 attractive scale. Here’s what we found:

  • Tifa Lockhart of Final Fantasy ranks the hottest with an average score of 4.20 and is the top video game crush.
  • Yennefer of Vengerberg (The Witcher), Lara Croft (Tomb Raider), Jill Valentine (Resident Evil), Princess Zelda (The Legened of Zelda) round out the top 5.

Fans of The Last of Us and The Witcher made their favorites known. The only two male characters to crack the top ten were from those games (Geralt of Rivia, The Witcher and Joel Miller, The Last of Us).

  • 1. Tifa Lockhart - Final Fantasy

    Tifa manages Seventh Heaven, a bar located in the Sector 7 slums. Tifa is the childhood friend and love interest of Final Fantasy VII protagonist, Cloud Strife.

     

  • 2. Yennefer of Vengerberg - The Witcher

    Yennefer is transformed into a beauty thanks to magic. She uses this beauty as a weapon to ingratiate herself among the ruling class.

  • 3. Lara Croft - Tomb Raider

    Lara Croft is an English archaeologist, treasure hunter and tomb raider.

  • 4. Jill Valentine - Resident Evil

    Jill Valentine is one of two playable characters within Resident Evil and a member of S.T.A.R.S.

  • 5. Princess Zelda - The Legend Of Zelda

    Princess Zelda is a kind and benevolent ruler with a wisdom beyond her years and a deep love towards the people she watches over.

  • 6. Chun-Li - Street Fighter

    Quite the controversy when a Street Fighter 6 tournament streamed using the nude Chun-Li mod.

  • 7. Aloy - Horizon Zero Down

    She was raised as an outcast and trains as a warrior in order to win a ritual competition to discover her mother’s identity. The Burning Shores DLC for Forbidden West confirms Aloy is LGBTQ.

  • 8. Kitana - Mortal Kombat

    Even though Kitana is over 10,000 years old, she looks as if she is in her early twenties.

  • 9. Geralt of Rivia - The Witcher

    A second entry in the top 10 from this game. He is a magically enhanced monster-hunter who possesses supernatural abilities due to his mutations.

  • 10. Joel Miller - The Last of Us

    For those of us that have played the game, don’t spoil season 2 of the show by talking about, well, you know.
