Alyssa Milano is apologizing to Britney Spears after the singer called her out publicly on Instagram this week. The Charmed actress tweeted back in December: "Someone please go check on Britney Spears." At this time, Spears' Instagram page was deactivated, leaving fans to speculate about her safety.

Fast forward to this week, and the "Hold Me Closer" singer shared on her Instagram Story a screenshot of Milano's tweet. Spears wrote over it: "It saddens me to see things about me from people who don't know me!!! This definitely feels like a form of bullying!!!" She added, "Ladies, we are supposed to be rooting for one another not pulling one another down!!!"

Per gossip website TMZ, a rep for the Who's the Boss? alum said she reached out to Spears privately on Wednesday (February 1) to apologize via a "private message." It's unclear if Britney reacted to Alyssa's apology, or what exactly Alyssa said in her message. However, the gossip site confirms that Alyssa expressed support for Britney in her correspondence.

As we previously reported, fans called the police to Spears' house last week for a welfare check following the deletion of her Instagram page. After deputies were dispatched to her Thousand Oaks home, they determined there was no reason to believe she was in danger. Spears issued a statement to her fans following the incident, saying, “As everyone knows the police were called to my home based on some prank phone calls. I love and adore my fans but this time things went a little too far and my privacy was invaded.” She also posted a video to Twitter (which has since been deleted) of her in the gym, confirming she was “alive” and “well.”

2022 Celebrity Style Train Wrecks

2022 has been a year of great fashion. But with every high, there is a low. Some stars just couldn't get it together. Whether or not they work with a stylist, these celebs' fashion choices have made us cringe.

Take a look below at the worst-dressed celebrity style's of 2022:

Kim Kardashian

This may be a Fenty collab, but who the hell would wear a bubble gum pink thong bodysuit over sheer tights and those weird heels? Kim's fashion has gotten so much worse since her ex-husband Kanye West stopped styling her.

Machine Gun Kelly

The Mainstream Sellout proves that you can't rely on your height to look good. We think he took a little bit too much inspiration from the Hellraiser reboot. We get it, you're punk and you like spikes.

Madonna

Madonna is undeniably a music legend, but let's be real: her excessively provocative style is not it. Don't even get us started on the bleached brows and all those fillers that make her look like an alien...

Britney Spears

Oh, Britney. Where do we begin with you? Her fashion sense is like that of a child who picks all of the most random items and gets dressed in the dark. Please stop wearing low-rise bottoms -- we do not want those to come back!

Julia Fox

Though Julia Fox can be an innovative style icon, there are times when she does way too much. Sometimes, less can be more and you don't have to make every piece of your outfit to be made of the same material and color.

Jared Leto

Jared, you're supposed to be a fashion icon, but this patent leather purple suit just makes you look like a total creep. The pink hair does not make you look more approachable.

Justin Timberlake

Some people may be fans of JT's choice in pants lately, but we are not those people. The oversized dress pant looks like a little boy wo got into hid daddy's closet.
