Fugitive Caught At Disney World After Year On The Run
He’d been on the run for about a year, skillfully evading capture and arrest. Then, for no particular reason, Quashon Burton of New York City decided to visit Disney World. That’s where things went straight to hell for the fugitive.
As Burton rode the rides and chomped on cotton candy, federal postal inspector Jeff Andre also enjoyed the park with his family. By sheer chance the two passed each other in the park. That’s when Andre noticed something about Burton…the tattoo on his neck. You see, it wasn’t a typical tat. It was the letter ‘H’ and it was emblazened across the man’s neck. You see, Andre remembered that tattoo from a warrant that was issued for man in New York City a year earlier. The warrant was issued over charges that Burton defrauded the government out of about $150,000 in COVID stimulus funds. Shortly after the warrant was issued, police tried to arrest the man at his home in New York, but he was not there and his monther told officers that he had no plans of turning himself in to authorities. Burton then remained on the run until his capture at Disney World. Burton was arrested by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department without incident in the park. Source: WFLA.com
