Maybe you’ve watched the Jurassic Park movies and thought it would be fun to be there among the dinosaurs, well now you’ll have your chance as they’re coming to Cape Coral.
Now, not actual dinosaurs of course, and we won’t have to worry about anyone getting eaten, but rather they’re coming in the form of a new attraction at Gator Mike’s Family Fun Park. Dinosaur Falls Mini Golf will be a course full of animatronic dinosaurs and a 25 foot tall volcano.
I expect this to be pretty amazing. Harris Miniature Golf, a company that designs courses all over the world is building Dinosaur Falls. Chris Scuderi, the owner of Gator Mike’s told the News Press that the T-Rex is 16 feet tall and 32 feet long and the volcano will make noise, smoke and actually erupt, making it the first of its kind in Cape Coral.
Construction on the mini golf course may start next month, with the goal of opening December 1. The mini golf course that is there now will remain open until Dinosaur Falls makes its debut.

When it comes to desserts, my absolutely favorite is ice cream. Asking if I have a favorite flavor is an almost impossible question to answer because with so many stand alone and great combinations, I can’t possibly choose just one. And let’s also not forget to mention all the varieties from true ice cream, gelato, custard, frozen yogurt, sorbet, sherbet, mochi…it’s all delicious to me!
Here’s some fun facts about ice cream:
- The average number of licks to finish 1 scoop of ice cream is 50
- The country that consumes the most ice cream is the US, followed by Australia and Norway
- The average American eats 45.8 pints of ice cream per year
