Officers say an 89-year-old woman and her caregiver were in a private residence when 25-year-old Keandra Griner of Haines City entered through a rear door that was unlocked. The man's first move was to grab a juice box from the refrigerator. As the man sipped from the juice, he saw the caregiver. Police say he approached her with his pants down and his genitals in his hand. He attempted to remove her pants, but was unable to do so. The caregiver was able to push the man away. Shortly afterward, the suspect saw the homeowner and showed her his genitals, too. The woman demanded that the man leave the home, which he eventually did. The victim told police that she was never touched by the man and he did not have permission to be in her home. Police located ad arrested the man at a local 7-Eleven. The caregiver positively identified the suspect afterward. The man has been charged with burglary, assault, battery and two counts of exposure of sexual organs. Source: TampaFp.com
Remembering Chris Cornell
In death, it’s easy to elevate an entertainer’s talent or importance. But in the case of Chris Cornell, even before his shocking death in 2017, he was already considered one of the greatest voices in rock history.
From Soundgarden to Audioslave to his solo work, his vocals never failed to move a room. He could sing anything. Literally anything. Genre be damned!
In honor of his life, extraordinary career and remarkable voice, we gathered nine of our favorite Cornell cover songs he either recorded or performed live.
Spoiler: You’ll never hear “Ave Maria” the same way ever again.
'Stay With Me Baby' – Soul standard originally sung by Lorraine Ellison
'Redemption Song' – Reggae classic by Bob Marley
'I Will Always Love You' – Originally performed by Dolly Parton, popularized by Whitney Houston
'One' – A hybrid of U2/Metallica tracks
'Nothing Compares 2 U' – Originally sung by Prince, popularized by Sinead O’Connor
'Billie Jean' – Classic from Michael Jackson
'A Day In The Life' – Classic from The Beatles
'Long As I Can See The Light' – Classic from Creedence Clearwater Revival
'Ave Maria' – Standard often used in Catholic services
Eddie Vedder: Legendary Voice
Eddie Vedder hasn't been as prolific with side-projects as his Pearl Jam bandmates: Stone Gossard used to have a band called Brad (R.I.P. Shawn Smith) and currently is a band called Painted Shield; he's also done solo records. Jeff Ament has been part of Three Fish, Tres Mtns. and RNDM, and has put out a bunch of solo songs. Matt Cameron's discography includes a number of projects including Hater, Wellwater Conspiracy, Harrybu McCage and Ten Commandos. Mike McCready, meanwhile, has been a member of Mad Season and the Rockfords.
Vedder, meanwhile, has just three solo albums to his name, so far: but it turns out that he has a pretty impressive discography outside of the band. He's frequently contributed songs to various artist compilations, done one-off singles, and collaborated with other artists. Here are some of our favorite Vedder moments outside of Pearl Jam.
