You probably alo know someone who has been unable to find a suitable home due to the red-hot real estate market. In a recent list compiled by Stacker, utilizing information from Zillow, 629 separate cities were ranked according to rate of increase in real estate values. Here is the complete list, but here are also some highlights. You can safely assume that Tampa/St. Pete, Fort Myers and Naples made it onto the list, while other cities may come as a bit of a surprise to you. Vero Beach made the top 10, as well as Jacksonville. Key West made a huge leap in values, leap frogging by Tampa in the process. One example showed an averge home price at almost $900,000 and an increase in value of nearly $230,000! The problem is, if you own a hom and want to sell it, it will be hard to profit from the sale, as all of the other homes you'd be tryng to find have also risen in value. another startling statistic? Homes in Indian Rocks Beach have risen by over $400,000 in the last 5 years. Source: WFLA.com
