It’s only May, but it’s never too early to start thinking about Halloween, especially when some iconic monsters will star in a new house at Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando.

WFLA reports that The Wolf Man, Dracula and The Mummy will be coming together for the new “Universal Monsters: Legends Collide” haunted house at Halloween Horror Nights.

The haunted house has the monsters searching for “The Amulet of Ra” and in a press release Universal Parks & Resorts says, “With the full moon on the rise and a race against time, guests find themselves entangled in a bloodthirsty battle between the terrifying titans – and only one will survive.”

Halloween Horror Nights runs September 2-October 31 with 10 haunted houses, 5 scare zones and 2 live shows.

10 Universal Orlando Rides and Attractions We Really Miss

  • Back to the Future - The Ride

Almost need a DeLorean to get back to this one. This ride’s story was replaced in 2007 with The Simpsons Ride.

  • Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue

In 2016 this show ended and made way for Fast & Furious – Supercharged.

  • Disaster!® – A Major Motion Picture Ride…Starring YOU

This one was also removed to make way for Fast & Furious

  • Dragon Challenge

This was actually two coasters. They used to launch them at the same time, but people were getting injured from loose items flying off of the coasters. In 2017 it made way for Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure.

  • Jaws

Who didn’t get their picture taken with the big hanging shark back in the day? This attraction took up a lot of space and in 2012 was ended to make room for Harry Potter Diagon Alley.

  • Jimmy Neutron’s Nicktoon Blast

In 2011 it was changed to Minion Mayhem.

  • Kongfrontation

In 2002 this ride was revamped into Revenge Of The Mummy, one of my personal faves as it’s it’s a great way to get out of the heat for an hour or so.

  • Lucy – A Tribute

This one I knew very well as I spent much time at the Broadcast Center right next door. In 2015 this changed over to the Hello Kitty Shop.

  • Shrek 4-D

This is the one that’s being switched over right now. It closed just a few months ago and it’s replacement hasn’t been officially announced yet.

  • The Eighth Voyage of Sindbad

This show ended in 2018. I couldn’t find an official reason why it closed but the production looked very expensive.

  • TWISTER…Ride It Out

The main thing I remember about this one was how LOUD it was. In 2015 it was shut to make way for the race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon.
