FL Sheriff Encourages Residents To Shoot Intruders
There’s a lot of great sheriff’s down here in Florida that have had some pretty great quotable moments including Lee County’s Sheriff Carmine Marceno, Polk County’s Sheriff Grady Judd and now Santa Rosa County’s Sheriff Bob Johnson, who in a recent press conference encourages residents to shoot intruders.
32 year-old Brandon Harris of Milton was arrested last week after breaking into multiple homes and backyards in Pace, Florida. He led police on a bit of a chase, but was eventually caught and has 7 charges for burglary and attempted larceny.
At one of the homes during his burglary spree, one homeowner shot at Harris but missed.
In a press conference regarding his arrest, Sheriff Bob Johnson said, “If somebody’s breaking into your house, you’re more than welcome to shoot them in Santa Rosa County, and we prefer that you do actually. Whoever that was, you’re not in trouble. Come see us. We have a gun safety class we put on every other Saturday. If you take that, you’ll shoot a lot better, and hopefully, you’ll save taxpayers money.”
Only in Florida…
