Man Pleads No Contest to Plan for Stealing a Helicopter
A man in Michigan pleaded no contest after he hatched an absurd plan to steal a helicopter to free COVID-19 patients from a hospital, and then shoot the place up.
The plea gets the man off on some other charges attributed to this plot where he threatened to shoot up a hospital, ram the gates of a military base, and drove around with a gun.
His defense attorney said that he was a military helicopter pilot and is now legally blind. So there was no way of carrying out the threats/plan. He’ll be sentenced in later this year in May.
