I’m sure deputies have heard it all when it comes to excuses, but one Florida woman blamed an eggroll for her DUI.

Police say 45-year-old Maria Jurgilewicz of St. Pete was pulled over around 2am after driving erratically. When the officer interviewed the woman, he noticed that her speech was slurred and there was a strong odor of alcohol on her breath. The officer also said that Jurgilewicz did poorly on a sobriety test.

During the investigation, the woman blamed her crazy driving on an eggroll, saying she was trying to eat as she was driving, but dropped it and tried to pick it up.

Only one problem: police could not find any proof of an eggroll or packaging for an eggroll in the car.

They did find plenty of other things though…like a plastic straw and some white powder residue. They also found some unidentified loose pills that later tested as opioids.

Once charged, the woman admitted to having drinks at her boyfriend’s house earlier in the night. Deputies said she was also under the influence of other types of drugs that were found in her possession.

She was charged with DUI, possession of non-prescription drugs and possession of a controlled substance.
