VIDEO: Boaters Save Dog Swimming Off Florida Coast
When you see something swimming off the coast, you would expect it to be a dolphin, a manatee, even a shark..but a dog?
A group of boaters came to the rescue after they saw a pup paddling away about a half mile off the coast of Ft. Lauderdale. Apparently, the dog had been out there for over an hour before he was saved. One of the boaters, Byron Crowell, captured video of the rescue:

After bringing the dog on-board, NBC2 reports that the boaters were eventually able to contact the owners of the dog.
In a text message exchange between Crowell and the owner, they think the puppy, named Zucko, may have been trying to bite the water splashing the sides of the boat and jumped off before realizing it until after it was too late.
Thankfully, Zucko is safe and has been reunited with his owners.
