The Fort Myers Lions and the Venice Vikings youth football team’s game ended in gunshots last Saturday.
An altercation happened between two sets of parents after the 12 and under game.
Coach Matt Vanover said, “The one girl got her hair ripped off. And as soon as she got her hair ripped off the one woman runned to the parking lot, There was a male waiting for her right here in the entrance, handed her a gun out the window. She pulled the trigger two times in the air. Pow, pow. Like two decent size explosions.”
Coaches, players, and bystanders all took off running after they heard the gunshots.
LCSO said that there were no shots fired, despite witness reports. And no arrests were made.
