A Florida Man picked the wrong car to break into.
Tommy Ford woke up at 3AM to an alert from his Ring camera that someone was trying to break into his car. What the intruder wasn’t aware of is who Tommy Ford is…the Bay County Sheriff!
WFLA reports the motion-activated lights turned on and scared him away before he actually got into the vehicle, but Sheriff Ford called 911 and Lynn Haven PD and Bay County deputies quickly arrived.
Sheriff Ford used this personal experience to remind citizens of Bay County to make sure that their car doors are locked.
No word on if the would-be burglar has been caught, but I doubt he’ll make that mistake again!
