Australia's Jess Fox is crediting a condom for her gold medal victory in the women's C1 canoe slalom after using one to repair her kayak at the Tokyo Olympics.
In a video posted on TikTok, Fox can be seen fixing a hole in the nose of her kayak by filling it with a carbon substance and then stretching a condom over it. She says the latex give the carbon a "smooth finish," adding, "Bet you never knew condoms could be used for kayak repairs."
