Yesterday, during the Tampa Bay Lightning victory boat parade the Stanley Cup did avoid being tossed, but somehow throughout the course of the day, the trophy did get dented.
It’ll be sent up to Montreal for repairs, but will be back in time for this weekend as celebrations continue.

This is not the first (or probably the last) time the Stanley Cup has been damaged. Back in 2008 during the Red Wings celebrations, it fell off a table at Chris Chelios’ Chili Bar in Detroit.
