Steel Plate Saves Florida Man from Axe To Head
A steel plate in the back of a man’s head might have saved him after a Florida woman allegedly hit him in the head with an axe.
Citrus County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested 30-year-old Casandra Hallmark on charges of attempted premeditated murder with a deadly weapon.
According to Hallmark’s arrest report, the sheriff’s office was called after a man was hit by a double-sided medieval axe. The man said he and another man were working on a water pump when it felt two hits on the back of his head.
The victim did have a cut on the back of his head, but if not for that plate, his injuries could have been a lot more serious.
There doesn’t seem to be a motive, but The Citrus County Chronicle reports that Hallmark is homeless and a neighbor, who’s shed she’s living in, said he let her into his house to get cigarettes and that’s when she must have grabbed the axe.
