Two children, ages 9 and 11, were instructed by employees to bring trash bins to the curb at their daycare under supervision in Charlotte County. But one neighbor wasn't having it.
Marc Smith, 72, began screaming at the children and told them that he didn't want to look at the trash bins all weekend. Smith told the children to get an adult. So an adult did come out to speak with him and told him not to speak to the children.
That enraged Smith, and he pulled a gun on the daycare employee.
The daycare was placed on lockdown.
It turned out he was intoxicated at the time of the incident.
He is facing multiple charges.
