Christian Lee Hunter, 21, of Collier County was arrested after police found a hamster that was beheaded.
The hamster was found by a woman walking near the street that he lives on. The small pet box held the beheaded hamster and the pet store receipt. The receipt had a fake name and address.
This was the FIFTH box holding small “sadistically mutilated” animals that this woman has found.
Using the receipt, police were able to acquire a surveillance video of Hunter purchasing the hamster. He was on police radar after a similar investigation was underway in Lee County for a hamster that was found “ripped into quarters”.
Police searched Hunter’s home and he admitted to purchasing the hamster and using a fake name.
